Its been a while guys! I won't blame you if you no take me/this seriously anymore. I really wish would talk about what has been happening. This year has been a real struggle!
But I am determined to come out on top and more importantly to be happy, I guess that is the reason I decided to make and share this post today
I reached out to some people on social media and in person and asked them to share the good things that happened to them in the month of August. I hope this makes you smile, inspire you or/and give you hope - as it did for me!

        Enjoy!

Martins C3 – I was able to give to a charity that I haven’t been able to give to in a long time!

@thetosintoge – I have been depressed about school work for a while now. I decided to move on and be happy. It was intentional

@infashionitrust – I witnessed one of my closest friend get married

5 THINGS I WANT AS BIRTHDAY PRESENT || BIRTHDAY WISHLIST

Guess who has a birthday on Monday, the 24th of July?! Me!!! 😁
Therefore, I have decided to compile a birthday wishlist or you know, things you can get me for my birthday (thank you very much 😁
In no particular order, here are some things I want as birthday presents-
1. Books - I love to read and have a long list of books that I would love to read, such as  '29, Single and Nigerian',We should all be feminist by Chimamanda, HOW TO BE A BAWSE by Lily Singh, THE SMART MONEY WOMAN by Arese Ugwu, QUESTIONS FOR ADA by Ijeoma Umebinuyo, etc . Personal development books are also welcome. I really need them, just don't know which to buy or where to start from.
2. Although I have told some friends about this but the more the merrier, yes?! I would really love a simple CHOCOLATE CAKE (easy on the icing tiger) that says, Happy Birthday Sexy or Happy Birthday Beautiful. Lol. But that would be really cool.
3. Shoes are my one of my favourite accessories. My favorites are those minimalist one as shown below or something like this from TNL
4. I would really a watch in (gold, black or rose gold) and/or this gorgeous minimalist gold necklace from zivanora (pls personalize it with A or D) But if you are confused, just get the watch 💙
5. Personal gift from God - say a prayer that God grants this particular heart desire. Thank you!!💙
Also if you want to give me cash or take me out for food or whatever, slide into my DM on any social platform. I am not even joking! Hehe.

HOW TO WEAR A RETRO SHIRT

Guys!!! Game of throne season 7 is out!! I might be just a little bit too excited about this. Little secret tho - I was with a group of people on YouTube (more than 14k people on this particular channel) counting down and waiting for it to premier. Smh. But in the last minute, my friend and I decided it would make more sense if we waited for a few more episodes to come out, so we could binge watch instead. And if you are asking what the big deal is - my guess is you probably have not seen Game of Thrones or you are not a fan. If you belong the class of the former, I wish I am you. Just so I would relive those awesome moments again. Lol. Okay! Okay!! I am calm now.
How have you been guys? Happy July!!!  I know, its been that long. How has this month been for you?
Today's look is centered around this retro shirt. I wear it in so many ways (as should be) but decided to style with a nude skirt for this post. The baret was kinda last minute, it is a new item I thrifted recently and I love it so much I have been wearing it with everything and everywhere. I completed the look with this sneakers and called it a day!
Not to blow my horn or anything like that but I think it came out good. What do you think guys? BTW, are you a fan of game of thrones? What is your favorite series to watch? Lemme know on the comment section below.

SUMMER BLACK SHORTS AND GRAPHIC TEE

Happy New Month Guys. Thank you so much for the love on my last post and also on this post. Sincerely since I came back to the blogging word I have experienced so much love that I have been kicking myself for allowing myself to stay away for such a long time. But… We move… Yes, Forward ever.
OUTFIT DEETS:
Tee & Shorts - Thrifted
Lipstick - Classic rubywoo (hehe)
Today is June 2nd 2017. We are officially in Summer, well I live in Nigeria, so really we are in dry-rainy and sun season. smh! Please, what season is this because I am not understanding!! Anyways, the good thing about our all-join whether is that all really join and can you can literally wear anything you want and surprise the weather and the weather surprises you back especially with rain.
For my outfit today, I am wearing this summer black shorts paired with an inscribed tee. I love graphic/inscrib tee especially one with quirky words. Mine says “I have nothing but you”, and whenever someone reads out to me, I am quick to add Jesus and then say, "I have nothing but you Jesus", Haha.
I paired my outfit with this spiderman looking sunnies (that I adore btw) and my beautiful and simple slippers from Dominiquefootwear that sells for 4k, I sincerely don’t know how they do it.

I bet you didn't know that in the Greek mythology, Juno which gives her name to the month of June is the protectress of women and of marriage; therefore consider goodluck to be married in the month of June and in modern time aka nowadays, June is know as bridal month (all according to my few research on google) Told y'all that I would also educate you on this blog, now pat my back in the comment section, lol.  Meanwhile June born are suppose to be very friendly, stylish, soft spoken, polite, warm etc (looking at all them June born with side eyes) but whatever the case, I pray for God's blessings and favour upon you this
This outfit can be worn to a casual hangout or meeting i.e karoke, movies, Lekki Conservation Center (this is specified because it is in my list) or just about any casual event and still look bomb, don’t you think?
Spring being a tough act to follow, God created June - Al Bernstein
I hope you learned something today. Where would you wear this outfit, lemme know in the comments below.

HOW TO WEAR A RETRO DRESS

This is not really 'a how to wear a retro dress', it more about how I wore this retro dress and how much I love this pictures and Outfit. To say that I am obssesed with this outfit or these pictures would be an understatement. You guys already know that I obssesed with all things retro as I said here
This pictures were taken by Wale. Don't you just love it when all the stars align and the outfit that you plan (no matter what went wrong) makes sense and your photographer is a bad ass and gets it, he gets the essence, he gets it!!

OUTFIT DEETS:

Dress: Thrifted
Bag :     Friend's closet
Lippie - Classic lipstain

I paired this dress with a white sneaker, I wore a dark lips and a faux nose rings to give off this cool retro edge chic. How did I do?
I have more pictures of this outfit and would make another post from it later in this blog when y'all would have forgotten about it because I love it too much to use it just once. Lol.

Today's look features these pictures were taken late last year (kai, see how fresh I was looking) by doseofmubbysami. Thank God the outfit is still relevant and trendy till this day. (I think I deserve a pat in the back for this one. Amen?!). If you couldn't already tell - by this post I made here wearing my famous red trouser or this outfit that I wore on my last blog post that is somewhat similar to this one - I am pretty obsessed with the 70's, well, to be honest I am obsessed with all things retro.

OUTFIT DEETS
ALL THRIFTED (minus the shoe)
stripped-off-shoulder-bell-sleeve-top-flared-jeans-nigerian-fashion-blogger
There are so many fashion trends today that have been adopted from the 70s like the flare trousers and bell-sleeve off-the-shoulder tops i.e. what I am serving you today and GUYS!!! how cool are these flared jeans with the studs on the sides, kinda feels like this was literally passed down from the 1970s. I am pretty sure the studded sides were a big part of the reason why I bought these jeans. OK, I lie; I would have gotten it regardless.

The fit of these jeans is amazing and y’all know how much I love jeans as I said in this post but flare jeans would definitely have to be my favorite – the cut, style and fit of this particular one is just amazing and did I mention that it goes with almost everything. Hell, EVERYTHING!

I paired the flared jeans with this gorgeous off-the-shoulder bell sleeve top to serve some serious 70s/retro vibes with the choker and hair. Bring your plates guys, I am serving!! Lol.
